How far is it from the hotel to the ceremony and reception? Will there be bus service?

The recommended hotel is the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square, located in the heart of Lancaster, PA.  The ceremony and reception are being held out in the country at Bluestone Estate in Willow Street, PA -- about 9 miles away, an approximate 15-20 minute drive.

Note that we have arranged for air-conditioned coach bus service to and from the wedding.  Buses will leave from the Lancaster County Convention Center (adjacent to Marriott) bus stop on Vine Street - see walking directions on the Timeline & Details page. Plan for a 5-10 minute walk from the Marriott front lobby to the bus location. Please arrive for bus loading on Friday at 3:00 PM. Buses will depart for Bluestone at 3:15PM sharp.

What is the dress code for this event?

The dress code is formal

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and the reception take place at Bluestone Estate in the countryside outside of Lancaster, PA

If the weather cooperates, the ceremony will take place outdoors adjacent to their pond area.  The cocktail party will then be held on the outdoor patio, with open doors to an adjoining inside area.  We will then move upstairs to the main indoor area for the reception.

What should I expect after the wedding ceremony?

After the ceremony, Amy, Andrew and their immediate families will be taking pictures for about 30 minutes. Guests will be directed toward the adjacent patio area, where snacks and drinks will be flowing. 

Cocktail party will last for 60-75 minutes - we will then move to the reception area, directly upstairs. 

Can I bring my kids? Will there be a babysitter?

We love your kids..., However, since we have huge extended families, we’ve chosen to limit our guest list to young adults and over.  We hope you understand. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Please no photos during the ceremony, but otherwise take all the photos/videos you want.
